Dr. Thomas M. Kamwend Appointed Coordinator of the South Africa Liaison Office – Haut-Katanga Province

The Provincial Government of Haut-Katanga, the richest mining province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is pleased to announce the official appointment of Dr. Thomas M. Kamwend as Coordinator of the South Africa Liaison Office within the Provincial Protocol Service.

Dr. Kamwend is a distinguished entrepreneur, business coach, Pan-African political coordinator, and committed activist known for his leadership within the Congolese diaspora and his strategic engagement in economic and political mobilization across Southern Africa.

He currently serves as Chairperson within the Congolese Diaspora structures and as Executive Secretary (Southern Africa Region) of the governing coalition of H.E. President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, the Union Sacrée de la Nation (Sacred Union of the Nation).

This new appointment reinforces his strategic mandate to:

• - Strengthen bilateral cooperation between South Africa and the DRC
• - Promote investment partnerships in mining, infrastructure, energy, and trade
• - Facilitate institutional diplomacy and provincial representation
• - Support the vision of good governance and sustainable reconstruction in Haut-Katanga
